Browser-based video editing software
The million dollar homepage 2.0.
A photo-sharing website for weddings
Description: It would be really helpful to have a piece of software that looks up people within 50 miles of you that have unresponsive websites. Then you could pitch them on doing web design for them.
Notes and Research: Here's my vision of this software:Users log in and they see a map. They search for businesses within 50 miles of them using the Google Maps API. Then, they could sort businesses by the technology used on the businesses website. For example: "A user wants to find businesses within 50 miles of them that have a Wordpress site."
Description: Many people with Chromebooks are not able to have good video editing software because of the space required to download a fully-functioning video editor. Browser-based video editing software would allow for people to edit video on any OS, from any computer.
Notes and Research: Recently, Figma released an browser-based design tool. It has exploded and proven that these large editing tools can still be great products in the browser. This would be a large project to take on!
Description: Anyone remember this? How about recreating it in a cool and innovative way?
Notes and Research: I really don't have the solution for this. But it's definitely something to think about, and I think with the right approach it could be successful.
Description: The website (or app) would allow you to login via a password provided at the wedding. Everyone could upload their photos on the app and only people who knew the password and were in the wedding could view these. The bride and groom would pay a one-time fee to collect all of these photos.
Notes and Research: When I go to weddings, I've noticed that many people just upload photos of the wedding to Facebook. But I can't view half of the photos that were taken during the wedding because I'm not friends with everyone on Facebook. Having one place where everyone could upload their photos for everyone to view would be super helpful.
